Why are we interested in zombie games? Well, we’re a small independent development house and we’ll be releasing our own game on iPhone, Windows and Android later this year.
If you want to find out when we release it, sign up for our newsletter at the bottom of this page.
Contract Killer Zombies (CK Zombies)
Platform: Android, iPhone
Cost: Free
You’re a grizzled guy in a wheelchair. They call you Shooter ’cause that’s what you’re good at. Luckily, there’s no shortage of targets. Teaming up with Evelyn, you take on the zombies – all of them. This is a classic first person shooter game – totally free with plenty of power-ups and upgrades – if you’re prepared to invest the time or money. This is a neat game with a slick backstory and superb visuals that really get you into the action. Well worth a download.
iGun Zombie Reloaded
Platform: Android
Cost: Free
Despite its apparent simplicity, this game gets addictive fast. Your task is simple. Shoot the zombies and get extra points for head shots. Whilst the graphics are not a patch on CK Zombies and the range of zombies and movement is somewhat limited, it’s still easy to get into and easy to enjoy. As you progress through the levels, unlock different guns with experience points. If you need more firepower, automatic reloading or to increase your rate of fire, the store offers a whole range of options. Daily missions give you bonuses for killing 300, 600 or 1000 zombies (if you have the time), there’s plenty to do and enjoy.
Zombie Booth
Platform: Android
Cost: Free
OMG. Seeing yourself transformed into an animated zombie, going mental and attacking the mobile phone screen is disconcerting. There are some things your can never unsee. Whilst not a game as such, It’s an extraordinary app sure to please every fan of zombies and apps, but we warn you, it’s absolutely not for the faint hearted.
Plants V Zombies
Platform: Android, iPhone
Cost: £1.93 / £1.99 / £2.37
If you’re looking for cute defense play, Plants V Zombies is the one to watch. The game? Stop zombies from invading your house with an arsenal of 49 zombie destroying plants. I have lost hours to this game and loved every moment. The app has achieved near cult status with an honourable mention on the series True Blood, and immortalised with its own set of action figurines. If you like zombies but you’re a bit squeamish, this will tick all the boxes. We’re not sure why there are two versions in the Google Plat store at different prices right now, but they look like they are both the same game.
